Relationships have the power to bring us comfort, connection, and joy, but they can also be the source of our deepest pain and uncertainty. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, communication challenges, intimacy concerns, sexual health, infidelity, or relationship distress, Yvette believes healing begins with a space where you feel genuinely accepted, understood, and free from judgment. She is committed to creating a therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe enough to have honest conversations, explore vulnerable experiences, and move toward meaningful change.

As a sex-positive therapist with specialized training in sexual health, Yvette is passionate about normalizing open, shame-free conversations about sex, intimacy, and pleasure. She understands that many people feel anxious, embarrassed, misunderstood, frustrated, or uncertain about how to talk with their partner about these deeply personal topics. Her goal is to help clients develop greater confidence, strengthen communication, deepen emotional and physical intimacy, and build relationships that feel more authentic, connected, and fulfilling.

Yvette’s counseling approach is collaborative, holistic, and culturally responsive. She believes meaningful growth happens when people feel safe enough to be honest with themselves and with one another. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she tailors therapy to each person’s unique experiences, values, and goals while gently encouraging greater self-awareness, healing, and lasting change.

Yvette has completed training in Natural Processing, a somatic approach to EMDR that helps the brain and body naturally process unresolved experiences, and she thoughtfully integrates this approach when appropriate. She also values incorporating evidence-informed interventions that support emotional well-being, healthy relationships, and personal growth.

Yvette is dedicated to providing an affirming and welcoming environment for people from all backgrounds and identities, including members of the Latinx, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ communities. She believes everyone deserves to feel respected, valued, and accepted exactly as they are.

Whether you are beginning therapy for the first time or returning after time away, Yvette hopes you will find therapy to be a place where you can reconnect with yourself, strengthen your relationships, and move toward a life that feels more connected, authentic, and fulfilling.

Not Sure Which Therapist Is Right for You?

Finding the right therapist is an important part of the healing process. If someone isn’t sure who would be the best fit, I’d like them to contact me directly. I can learn a little about what they’re looking for and help match them with the therapist who best fits their needs, preferences, scheduling availability, and insurance.
