Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially when anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, parenting stress, grief, or difficult life experiences begin to affect your sense of peace and well-being. Jean believes that healing begins with having a place where you feel genuinely welcomed, understood, and supported. She is committed to creating a therapeutic relationship grounded in warmth, compassion, authenticity, and a healthy dose of humor, where clients feel safe to be themselves without fear of judgment.
Jean believes that therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating. Her hope is that clients experience each session as a place where they can explore difficult experiences openly, gain a deeper understanding of themselves, and discover new possibilities for healing and growth. She approaches therapy with curiosity rather than criticism, helping clients explore questions such as: What feels hardest for me right now? Why do certain patterns keep repeating? What would I like to understand better about myself? What would make daily life feel lighter, calmer, or more meaningful? Some days clients need someone to simply listen and hold space for their experiences. Other days, Jean gently guides the process, offers new perspectives, or introduces therapeutic approaches that support healing. Most often, the work is a collaborative journey that moves at a pace that feels safe and respectful of each person’s unique needs.
Before becoming a therapist, Jean spent many years serving individuals and families in a variety of helping professions. Her background includes working as an early childhood educator and administrator, a healthcare coach, a family navigator supporting children with disabilities, and serving families through nonprofit organizations. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for the resilience people demonstrate in the face of life’s challenges and strengthened her belief that meaningful healing is possible when people feel seen, supported, and understood.
Jean’s primary therapeutic approach is Natural Processing, a somatic approach to EMDR that helps the brain and body naturally process unresolved experiences. She also integrates evidence-informed approaches such as Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) when appropriate. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, Jean believes therapy should be tailored to each person’s unique story, strengths, and goals.
Jean considers it a privilege to walk alongside clients as they move through life’s challenges. She believes meaningful healing happens when people feel seen, supported, and understood. Her hope is that each person leaves therapy with a deeper understanding of themselves, greater resilience, and a renewed sense of hope for the future.
Not Sure Which Therapist Is Right for You?
Finding the right therapist is an important part of the healing process. If someone isn’t sure who would be the best fit, I’d like them to contact me directly. I can learn a little about what they’re looking for and help match them with the therapist who best fits their needs, preferences, scheduling availability, and insurance.
